In 2026, the Connected Community 5K raised $25,000 to support teacher grants throughout Bedford County.

Those dollars help teachers bring ideas to life that traditional classroom budgets may not always have room to fund.

A new hands-on learning experience.

Creative classroom resources.

A program that helps students discover something they did not know they loved.

An idea sitting on a teacher’s desk waiting for someone to say yes.

Teacher grants create opportunities for educators to think creatively about how students learn, explore and engage. By investing directly in those ideas, the CC5K helps expand educational opportunities while strengthening one of Bridge Bedford’s core priorities: education and engagement.
