Connected Community 5K Event
The Connected Community 5K is a family-friendly run and walk in downtown Shelbyville on May 9, hosted by Bridge Bedford. The event supports teachers by investing in educational initiatives that strengthen classrooms and students across Bedford County.

Our board reflects a shared love for Shelbyville and Bedford County—rooted in history, shaped by experience and driven by a deep desire to see this community thrive.
Together, we bring perspectives from education, public service, design, workforce development and civic leadership. We are parents, mentors, builders, listeners and learners. Some of us were raised here, others chose this place with purpose, but all of us are invested in its future.
